MetaBrands MAGE Guild enters Pegaxy.io
Recently, a play-to-earn game on the Polygon Network called Pegaxy.io has gained a lot of attention for many reasons. Discover why MetaBrands, a Metaverse Resource and Gaming DAO, is exploring Pegaxy.
What is Pegaxy?
“Pegaxy (Pegasus Galaxy) is a racing game with futuristic mythological styling. Pega (the horses) are descendants of the mighty Pegasus. In this game, players will participate in PvP format races to win rewards in the platforms native utility token, VIS (Vigorus).”
Simulated horse racing can be pretty entertaining, but what’s buzzing around Pegaxy is that at the current time of writing, scholars or renters of these Pegas (NFTs) who can take them to the stadium to race can generate a reported daily earning of about $5-$30 worth of VIS tokens.
Contributing factors surrounding the recent growth of the game are also credited to the Pegaxy team for creating a built-in scholarship system as a core part of the platform and simplifying the onboarding and user experience. Now, a manager or the owner of the Pegas can simply rent out their Pega by setting the percentage share that they would like to split with the scholars while still having complete control of their assets. Both managers and scholars benefit by having the payments automated and paid to ensure both parties are receiving their agreed share. Scholars can visit the renter’s marketplace and quickly pick up a Pega without having to jump through lengthy applications to apply for asset rental.
Furthermore, Pegaxy has gained a lot of traction for their mission and ability to develop and execute in a timely fashion. Pegaxy just released a 3D version of the game, check it out below…
Metaverse Resource DAO Proposal
On January 19, 2022 the MetaBrands DAO and community decided that they wanted to deploy resources into the Pegaxy ecosystem to be able to launch a guild, scholarships, and start earning yield. This DAO Proposal was passed with over 840,000 votes on the Snapshot platform and can be viewed here.
🧙 MetaBrands | MAGE Guild Established!
MAGE Guild, a gaming division of MetaBrands, has been established and officially recognized by the Pegaxy Team. With the MAGE Guild, MetaBrands is currently offering 60+ scholarships to a world-wide community. This participation will allow scholars an opportunity to play and earn while allowing the guild and treasury to grow on a bi-weekly basis. Many of these aspiring scholars will go on to become advocates of MetaBrands, helping connect communities and sharing our vision.
What’s Next for MetaBrands?
The plan is for MetaBrands to further establish itself in the realm of play-to-earn, build out the MAGE Guild in Pegaxy, and provide more opportunities to scholars around the world. Furthermore, MetaBrands will continue to look for ways to create value inside the Pegaxy ecosystem and possibly collaborate with other DAOS, Guilds, and the Pegaxy team.
